Representing the Washington D.C. area with that unseen and unheard music waiting to be found, this Hidden Aspects rep goes back to his single digit days musically. It was those years, he recalls, that spawned his love for Hip Hop culture. Quoting verses from the Sugarhill Gang song "Rapper's Delight" & competing to see which cat remembered most of the song lyrics best, is just one of many recollections that linger in his memory.

Ooh Aah has been bobbing his head to Hip Hop music for almost all his life. He brings to the table skills such as song writing, beat making, song arrangement, artist promotions, and artist development. Alongside these talents and contributions, he dabbles in photography, web design & digital imagery.

This multi-talented genius is heavily influenced by Hip Hop of the late 80s and early 90s. This multidimensional artist defies categorization: his musical style does not fit within the standard "boundaries of Hip Hop. "Not going in one direction musically," he states, "helps keep the balance & flow of my creative juices. Every artist should avoid locking himself into one image and shouldn't be afraid to jump out there and experiment musically."

Ooh Aah's background is saturated with Hip Hop elements. He used to Breakdance back in the days, DJ a lil bit, and kept a Grafitti pad on his person. Being brought up in Washington D.C. was awkward for a Hip Hop cat, with all the Go Go music drowning the entertainment scene. Ooh admits that even with the Go Go music, D.C. has a very strong Hip Hop background, dating back to the days of The Crib (a club which is now a condominium complex on 7th street downtown). "We had groups called I B M, Unlimited Breakers, Rock Nasty, and Warpath," Ooh recalls. "Those days brought me in the late 90s to a group called Tha Beggas."

Tha Beggas was a martial force of MCs and producers that was unbreakable, and Ooh's alias back then was the Ooh Aah Swordsman (basically representing his sharp, disciplined, "cut your head off if he has to" flow. Ooh Aah is currently on a few songs with various artists and producers within the Hidden Aspects camp .Mastering everything that he touches as far as music ideas, equipment software and tools, Ooh is definitely prepared to release some got-to-have, good ole "that's the shit" music.

"I've done shows," he says, "I rhymed over different peoples' beats, slept in the basement, had millions of conversations about this music, and now is the time to come out of hiding. I'm tired of watching rap city show the same ole videos and the radio playing the same boring songs. What happened to the jukebox and the request-as-you-go stations? This is what I was brought up on. I miss the DJ Red Alert show. Now the realest you get is on a mix CD. This music has changed right in front of us and we are allowing it to happen."

Who does Ooh think is "real"? "I idolize the De La Souls, the Masta Aces, and MF Dooms," he says. "There are a lot of other artists I'm feeling too, like Nas, M.O.P., Jay-Z - and plenty more - but I think that something is still missing and hopefully all the hidden aspects of the world will change that. So be checking back from time to time to listen to what Ooh is unveiling for the world.
