Hidden Aspects can be considered a collective rather than a group or record label. Founded in 1998 by Begga Ooh (fka Ooh Aah) & Yukon Black (fka & Short Axe) of D.C.'s disbanded Hip Hop phenomenon, "Tha Beggas"; Hidden Aspects is an organization dedicated to the preservation & presentation of heartfelt Hip Hop.
Before we get into any substance on this site, we want give you an idea of what Hidden Aspects means. It's generally know that the word "hidden" means to be concealed or unseen. This portion of our title represents a vast majority of aspiring artists who don't get seen or heard, not by choice rather by circumstance. In all genres of music, there are those greats who remain invisible to the masses for whatever reason. The word "aspect" is defined as a certain characteristic, appearance or point of view,which relates to key concepts in the hip hop world...uniqueness, fearlessness, exploration and discovery which all produce quality and originality.
Now that it's been explained what Hidden Aspects means, we can get into a little of who the Hidden Aspects are. Our core is primarily composed of members of Tha Beggas (Bolo, Dragonfly, Jim Kelly, Long Axe, Ooh Aah, Short Axe). Since Tha Beggas as an official commercial entity is no longer being presented to the public, these members chose to maintain a bond and begin realizing their dreams together as a team through Hidden Aspects.
Those who love this culture will come to an understanding the same way we have through our travels, through the music and self motivated investigation. Knowing that music (itself) has no tangible face, we fully understand that it's the collaboration of sound that grabs the attention of listeners, not just the MC or the production. It's the total package (physical, mental, emotional, etc.) that attracts the masses. Our primary target is the root of hip hop...the streets.
The streets are what planted the seeds that brought hip hop this far, not record companies labels, radio, video. Although the streets are the primary target, Hidden Aspects Music reaches out to all hip hop fans from the die hard cruddy cat in the dirtiest crevice in the hood to the polished office space dweller who bobs his head on his lunch & smoke breaks. We plan to get to these fans BY ANY MEANS.

Whether it's the background music for a commercial, an endorsement for your favorite products, or the theme music for radio\video shows. Whatever it is, we got that. Just keep in mind like we do , the final destination is great music for you to enjoy.
